January is National Hobby Month. It’s a great month for a hobby. It’s the dead of winter. Some areas have been blasted with snow recently (and I’m glad that it missed me!!). So, having a hobby gives us something pleasurable to do.

I think everyone has a hobby, even if it’s watching sports. Some people have turned their hobby into their profession. Those who can earn a living doing their hobby are the truly blessed. J.K. Rowling is one of those. Writing was a hobby that turned into a mega-million dollar industry.

Whether your hobby brings in an income or not, it should be pleasurable. It should be relaxing.

If you want to learn to play the guitar at home, I can vouch for my friend and former co-worker, Jason Behr. He’s an excellent teacher. I saw him teach little children classical guitar and how to perform. They were SO good. Here’s his online teaching course.
