Lego Day!

Today is National Lego Day!! Today marks 61 years since the Lego patent was issued. How about that!! They are older than that, but in it’s current form, the patent was issued in 1958.
Legos History
I’m going to direct you to the Lego website and Wikipedia for the history just to make this a quick post.

Storage
With all the Legos kids have storage has become an issue. I see it on homemaking sites all the time: How do I organize all these Legos, they are driving me crazy!!
I’m going to send you over to Abby’s site. She is a master organizer and has tried several different ways to organize. She finally had a system that works for them. She gives you the reasons why the or systems didn’t work for them, but may not be able to issue for you. Within her blog, she also has a video showing you her system.
Things to Do Today
Today is a great day, especially if you’re in the Midwest as the kids are probably home for a snow day, to look at Lego history, Google images of Legos made by master Lego Craftsmen, and get out the Legos and just play, create, have fun.
